Peavey ADI-C Active Direct Box with Compressor and Gate

How many times have you connected an instrument or instrument preamplifier output to a sound system only to be inundated with noise? Are there also times when a little compression can help the sound of your instrument? The ADI-C can fill these needs by combining an active DI with a high quality dynamics processor. The ADIC's noise gate helps keep the noise under control without destroying your sound. The soft-knee compressor makes it is easy to keep your level under control and better blend with the rest of the band. The ADI-C input will accept an instrument or instrument preamplifier output, which it converts to a XLR output to the sound system. The ADI-C also has a processed “Local output” for connection to the instrument amp. This allows the musician to hear and take advantage of the dynamics processing the ADI-C provides. When the local output is switched to the unprocessed position, only the XLR output for the sound system will receive the ADI-Cs dynamics processing.

The ADI-C can be powered from the mix console using +48V phantom power or from an optional external 15VDC supply when phantom power is not available.
