Get detailed tactile control over your picture's hue, saturation, and brightness using the three optical trackballs. Use the left trackball to adjust color in the shadows, the middle one to fine-tune midtones, and the right one to tweak the highlights. And with the optical trackwheels that surround each trackball, you can control contrast and vignettes. You can also use the right trackwheel to jog through your project.

Why edit one thing at a time with a mouse? With Artist Color, you can speed up your tasks and complete projects faster—without having to click around a software interface. Make color adjustments with incredible precision using the high-resolution track balls, which provide ergonomic comfort and a smooth response. And get access to every color function in your software right from the surface, enabling you to make quick adjustments easily.

With three highly responsive optical trackballs and trackwheels at your fingertips, you get the same tactile feedback and precision usually found only on high-end color grading hardware systems. You can even toggle the center trackball on the fly to work as a mouse, so your hands never have to leave the surface during grading. You can also adjust the control sensitivity directly from the surface to suit your preferences.

As you make adjustments using the trackballs, trackwheels, or Soft Knobs, you can view the corresponding parameter names and values on the six 128 x 64-pixel OLED displays. These displays also show your current room or view names when in NAV Mode.

Play, stop, go forward, go backward, and jump to the next clip or previous clip using dedicated transport keys. Copy and paste color grade settings from one clip to another. Add and delete key frames, set markers, save projects, and trigger other frequently performed tasks using the Soft Keys. Or program the Soft Keys with your own keyboard shortcuts and custom macros to perform complex tasks at the press of a button for even greater editing flexibility.

Create a custom surface

All Artist Series controllers are modular, so you can combine them together into a single slimline surface to suit your workflow. Connect up to one Artist Control, four Artist Mixes, one Artist Transport, and one Artist Color in any order for a total of up to 36 faders. Or use them separately, as each controller has its own Ethernet connection.
